Celebrities and crib mode are all just eye candy. It doesn't impact the game or anything. I don't know why EA has that damn Mascot game and VC is the same way with some of this stuff. Who cares about that. Focus on better gameplay for once. I wish they would appeal more to the hardcore gamer like Madden is. Restricted, Franchise free agents. If both would push the envelope we would have better things going on. ESPN is going to have online leagues which will be nice, but I have a feeling EA will do the same.

The gameplay has already been the best and they have fixed just about all the gameplay problems. Without anything extra then this would get boring after awhile. People complained that there wasn't anything in the game outside of the franchise but when they want to make the game much more fun then they complain that they aren't spending enough time on gameplay.

well...none of us know how much time was spent on it...so you cant really complain

gotta fill up disk space right...and espn has all those franchise things

How you could think they are focusing on this celebrity thing, and not worrying about the gameplay blows my mind.

Here is how I view what you said about small features between the two gaming companies.

ESPN Football will play the kettle and Madden will be the pot...
