As a PS2 player of ESPN NLF2K4 . . .

I have to admit that NFL2K5 is the first title that has me planning to buy an XBOX!

Two reasons for my decision:

(1) NFL2K5 is being optimized (built?) for the XBOX. The VIP feature, the new player 'skeletons' (muscle movement, jerseys, etc) are a couple of the improvements that I believe PS2 players are being left out of.

(2) No more countdown meters in the middle of a game or 'failed to locate servers' messages. You fellow-PS2ers know what I'm referring to. The black countdown screen that appears whenever the connections seems to be interrupted. This happens even when there are only a handful of people in the gaming rooms. I honestly don't recall reading about online issues on the XBOX side (nor was I really looking for them). But with all of the enhancements I've read about for NFL2K5 (especially with cut scenes, etc), I want the smoothest online experience possible.

PS - I'm trying to convice my buddies to take the plunge as well as they're the guys that I play against the most online.

It wasn't in my budget. But Father's Day, My Birthday and three months to save should work!

BigBlue, I'm also gettin the Xbox for nfl2k5 as well as for lot of the other awesome games comin out ofr Xbox.

My reasons are...sure I can have access to SOME Xbox type features in nfl2k5 by getting a sony HDD but when I think about it...I might as well just get an Xbox with the Hardrive built-in, get the best of what ESPNFL2k5 is offering in terms of features, graphics, and sound as well as have access to whole new library of games. In my case the decision is pretty easy.
