QB Evade

"Tap the right analog stick as a defender flies toward you and watch as your quarterback ducks or steps up in the pocket to clear room for a throw. The more agile the quarterback, the better he'll be at evading the rush."

That was from the IGN preview in April.

From all the vids, i haven't really seen the above. Do you all think its becasue its not usefull or comfortable to use? I ask becasue in alot of the vids i see the QB drop back instead of staying in the pocket where the QB evade button could help.

Anyway just wondering what your take on this was. Or perhaps Fetter and some other OS guys who played it could shed some light on this. Thnx

Re: QB Evade

yeah, i did notice that and thought it was nice, but out of those 3 vids and the recent 2 i haven't seen it another time. That seemed usefull so you would think expcecialy in the Falcons game Vic might give it a try instead of throwing of his wrong foot all the the time.

Re: QB Evade

Maybe they just didn't feel like doing it.

I think it is also a matter of people are used to just dropping back and not used to being forced to step up into the pocket. I would like them to really emphasize this feature though.

We'll probably see it in some videos from espnvideogames.com.

yep. the players probably didn't even remember it's there (except that one time). although this feature will be a lot more useful than madden's directing of receivers and blockers, I still hardly ever use these two options just cause i don't remember them (and the fact they're not really useful).

Re: QB Evade

QB evade button, is a matter of damn, I forgot I could do that, simply because it has always been controlled by the cpu, now you're in control and you're caught looking. The evad button will take time to get accustomed to, the little time I had with it, I rarely remembered it. So much is going on like a real QB, looking down field, being rushed, and now you have to rush, I've always said you will have to have pocket presence, to remember the QB evade button and make an effort to use it.

One thing I do know the E3 build was very responsive.
