Franchise Fantasy Draft Logic

Does anyone know if they have commented on the franchise draft logic?

It was horrendous in 2004.

I just got done drafting another team, using the December (8th?) roster updates. But even if you use the default ones, you can get rediculous teams.

Qb: Vick
Rb: Lee Suggs, Musa Smith
Wr: Steve Smith, Anquan Boldin
Te: Shockey, Heap, Jolley

Oline: 4 young guys in the 80s (ie Mckinnie), poor center.

Dline: Seymour, Ogunleye, Peppers, Jenkins, Simms, Simon
LBs: Urlacher, 2 young 70s
DBs: Newman, Madison, Roy Williams, Archulleta, Ed Reed, Ken Hamlin

It would be funny to see how you would handle all those contracts -- after awhile they'll bite you in the [censored] (a la the upcoming Redskins).

Actually, no not really.

Almost all of my players are locked up from 3-5 years.

Urlacher and a starting gaurd are the only 2 good players with 1 year remaining. I had enough money to extend both of their contracts.

I could easily survive cap management for 3 years with this team.

Well, then -- that is some bad fantasy drafting logic. Hopefully, this problem will be resolved in 2005.

Re: Franchise Fantasy Draft Logic

I simulated 2 seasons, in the 2nd season I won the Super Bowl. Lost 2 games.

The team has:
7 players rated >90
20 players rated >80
