Weather Problems in All Games

i think this is a problem in all 3 games (ESPN, Madden, NCAA)

-the weather is great, it looks good

-on the other hand the weather does nothing to effect the game (except for a few more drops/fumbles in the rain)

-ppl can run just as fast in a dome as they can in a blizzard in the games, it's quite stupid

-nobody ever slips, u can cut just as fast as if u were in a dome

it's just so highly unrealistic, when the weather is that bad there are things u can't do, speed is less of a factor for one. remember the Pats/Raiders AFC championship a few years back? or the Pats one from this year. Bad weather helps teams out who aren't the fastest as opposed to a team like the Rams, why is that never accounted for in the game?

Vc said that they fixed it. Players' performance will be affected by weather.

Pessimistic, aren't we?

I mean, what they've said they've done is all we can ask for at this point.

the thing is it's not the first time. the problem now isn't that the effects aren't there. i've seen punt returns fall on their [censored] trying to run down a punt, players move a little slower in bad weather, visibility is a bit lower, etc. even passes aren't "quite" as accurate in heavy wind. the problem is it isn't even close to ENOUGH. So i agree it needs to be addressed, however don't have the same concern as you b/c they can just take what they have and crank it up.

Re: Weather Problems in All Games

i'm being pessimistic? and pointing out tiny details? NO

the ppl that want their player wearing the right wrist band or having the right face mask are nitpicking, that's cosmetic, stuff u can change yourself.

the weather is a key component in football, this isn't basketball.

why do u think Lambeau field held such a distinc advantage for Green Bay, opposing teams couldn't deal with the weather come playoff time.

why couldn't Tampa win a game under 40 degrees their entire franchise history until 2 yrs ago?

having the weather affect gameplay is vital because it is gameplay, which is the biggest thing that games should care about and then franchise mode. that's like all the ppl complaining about the running momementum, u want it done right. u don't want a half-[censored] job for $50. and u deserve it done right, so why is wanting weather affects fully in the game asking for too much?
