They did not mention the VIP!

So the VIP was basically added in later on.

Not necessarily. It's standard practice to keep certain features "under wraps" for quite some time. It's simply shrewd marketing.

Not to put too fine a point on this, but...

I've sat face-to-face with the developers of this game, and it's been in their minds and worked on by them long before the contest came about.
It's a good idea, no question - but quite simply, you did not suggest it to Sega until long after it was under development.

Now, please - some sanity...

Hmm interesting... developers sharing a top secret idea with a forum site? I thought developers would keep these type of ideas under wraps until E3?
