Why would anybody go to the site about Madden and full of its fanboys to promote ESPN NFL

Don't get me wrong, it's your life and what not...but what's the real purpose?

In my case though I was already a madden-playing member of MM and had been since spring of 02 so I didn't sign up with the intent to "educate" madden ballers about nfl2k which is what juijitsu is suggesting guys start doing. Like you, I personally don't see purpose or point in doing so...especially now.

I understand what you are saying but IMO...it's just a videogame. People don't need to be "educated" about a videogame.

then we agree...especially when you consider VC's releasing of so much info thus far and continuing to do so each friday/thursday is already providing enough "education" as it is.

Maybe, I guess.

To me, it just comes across like people thumping religion in my face. But at least that has meaning, somewhat. But people are using that method for a videogame and I jsut don't understand the deal. A game is a game. You play with it. Not turn it on and pray at it.

I think you're overexaggerating a bit but as I said earlier we pretty much agree on the subject. Theres no point in going to Madden sites specifically with the intent to so-called "educate" or "enlighten" them about espnfl.

Its Sega/VC's responsibility to INFORM, educate and/or elighten people, madden and espnfl fans alike, about their game....not ours...and they seem to be doing pretty good job of it thus far.

I don't even think EA Sports id that with their customers. They just continued putting out a prime product every year and marketed it with all their might.

Sega/VC is having problems just because they are the "other" game, IMO.

Well EA never needed to.

Obviously, VC is in different situation thus their aggressive approach to releasing information and seeing that more people try their game this yr (i.e the $20 price tag).

They need the commercials and everything. I mean Sega/VC has the ESPN brand...yet during the draft and what not, it's all EA Sports Go figure.

Ea buys commercial spots. Espn has nothing to do with that. They can't give away free spots and they won't since they can get money for it.

Sure they have something to do with it. IT'S THEIR NAME ON THE GAME. They could advertise on their own channel.

P2K, I agree with everything you have been saying but ESPN sold the rights to VC. They have their oney, they could care less if VC advertises the game.

Do you watch espn? Every show that comes on is sponsored by espn videogames and they make sure to put the logo everywhere. And espn doesn't have to do anything. Vc just bought the license, they aren't owned by espn and espn is just getting money from them to use the overlays and other stuff.
