PS2 OWNERS

i dunno about you guys, but i was all for ESPN until i thought about the ps2 graphics, they look far worse than the xbox's graphics, even worse than last years ps2 graphics, does this make any of the ps2 only owners think more on getting madden? im really concerned, i mean i dont mind if the player models looked like xbox's with less jersey texture and no sheen and no shiny look, but having the ps2 version that hasnt changed from last years versoin is a big concern.

yes... the screens can't compare but I think the finished product will look alot better.... but still it won't be the same as the x-box's version....

I thought last year's PS2 graphics were good. The difference between the graphics of PS2 and XBox won't be that huge while playing. You will probably see it more on the replays when its more up close. If anything, it would make me think of getting an XBox, not getting Madden. PS2 Hard Drive may also come in handy if you can find one cheap.

I'm one of those people who would get an Xbox just for ESPN NFL 2K5 but there are other great games on the Xbox that you will not get on the PS2. The 2 right off the top of my Head Halo and Ninja Gaiden.

It doesn't look worse than last years, it's just the XBOX version looks so much better that it seems worse than last year. I don't get it, they optimize for XBOX to make everyone happy and now the PS2 fanboys just keep crying over it.

Looking at screenshots in PSM, I honestly don't think the PS2's version's graphics are that bad, and I think are a definite improvement over last year's PS2 graphics. If you put them next to ESPN XBOX, of course you will notice a significant difference, but ESPN PS2 by itself holds its own graphically against its PS2 competition.
