Running game still too powerful?

I just got the chance to watch this video on IGN.

and do brushed off a tackle with a spin move and then broke another tackle for a touchdown.

Should i be worried now or just wait and see until the new FF videos(that hopefully show more running plays) before i can say that it's still too strong. Or was it just bad D?

Dude they're showing off the new animations. Plus I'm sure the preview copy they have is either on the rookie or pro setting. So don't have a horse.

Yeah im not worried, sure it might be easy to break tackles again, but I bet its better then last yr...as good as it should be? we can only hope I just doubt they didnt touch it at all. Like someone else said, probably on rookie or pro level.

Maybe there is a reason it was a classic touchdown... Because he broke a few tackles

Well you can put me down for being cautiously optimistic. People were saying this last year when preview vids were out.

The running game in 2k4 is a stange beast. Sometimes I get lit up but others I don't. I just played a wild card playoff game against the Seahawks and Alexander had 31 carries for 62 yards. I pretty much shut him down. I won the game 27-17. Only because I ran a kickoff back, got a pick, and sack Hassleback which caused a fumble. I only had 168 yds total offense.

People always think I'm nuts when I say that you could shut a back down last year. I haven't played in awhile, but I remember some games I'd get lit up, and other games where the D didn't give up anything on the ground. I liked that variability.

one thing that gets overlooked is how much this game rewards gang tackling. One way to combat the super runners is to try to forcing the runner into your defensive teammates. I try to contain the run and slow the back down til my LBs and DBs arrive.
