Just went home to my parents crib this weekend and brought ESPN with me to try and convert some friends of mine back home. And needless to say, we got another 7 guys buying ESPN instead of Madden this year. They absolutely LOVED the game!!! Of course,they were still getting some of their "madden habits" out of their system, but they loved the animations, presentation, graphics and gameplay (PS2 version). And when I told them that the new one was going to be 20 bucks, they thought I was seriously bull!%%@n!!

Show and tell works better than anything if you got the chance. If you play the game (and make them go through the tutorials), it really helps others get adjusted. My friends and I have been playing Madden for 14 years, so I thought it would be harder to have them give ESPN a shot, but seeing the game played does enough in front of them. I'm gonna continue to spread the word and show the game off. It works!

Yeah if you show them how to play the game then let them take a crack at it they love it. They really love the First Person Football too.

I just converted a long time friend who is a Madden fan. The funny part was the last time we played football 8 of us sat down to play Madden and they made the mistake letting me play in the first game and I ran the whole table and beat everybody. I guess he has been practicing all these years to try and take me down but now its too late because I don't even play Madden anymore. lol

I just let people buy what they want. Unless I was getting a check from Sega, I dont think I could ever try to "convert" people to buy it...I buy em both...

Not on a crusade, just wanted people to see the competition and decide on their own (like I did!!).
Now if they didn't like it (2 of my cousins didn't "feel" it), that's cool too. We actually played both games pretty much all day, but spent the last 6 hours on ESPN. That speaks for itself. I just wanted them to see why I enjoyed the game so much, and they understood why. And we're not teenies or something, we're grown men, so they got minds of their own. People just want a good, realistic ballgame and they felt the same way I did when I got ESPN a couple of weeks ago. The game plays a more realistic game of football OVERALL than Madden to them. That's it, plain and simple.
