This also makes ya wonder what would happen if Madden were on the ESPN NFL2k6 Cover next yr...I'm speaking of course about the possiblity that this could be his last yr with EA.

Nonetheless if that were to happen would that mean Madden would replace the comentary team? What would they call the game? Perhaps John Madden's ESPN football 2k6. I guess EA would have to rename their game as Al Michaels football

Sorry just thinking out loud here, tho it would be good if Madden were to go to the Sega title and we'll see tons of Maddenites playing a superior game (on the field) for the first time.

I don't want to see Madden anywhere NEAR my NFL2k, now, or ever. NFL2k has its own identity and it is a good one. The last thing I want is a game which has no soul (Madden), infect a game that gets better and better every year in NFL2k.

I am thinking that John Madden will simply sign on with EA again. No problem. Better for both sides of the issue of Madden vs. NFL2k.

I totally agree...with Madden is better than 2 weeks after Madden, but if you launch with them, there aren't a whole lot of people who are going to buy both at the same time, and you know the stores are going to be flooded with Madden shwag (in fact some already are). Obviously this is up to them, but if you are going to be aggressive enough to drop the price like this, I am not sure why you wouldn't just get the game out at least a week prior to Madden. Seems to me it would give more people a chance to look at it. If Madden had Live capabilities last year I probably would have never even picked up ESPN, because most of my friends were playing Madden and it would have been just easier to keep playing the game I already knew. As it was, I picked up ESPN in mid - late Sept. after going through Madden and Fever prior to it. I really want ESPN to succeed, because if this flops, we could be looking at a complete monopoly on the football gaming industry which would be terrible for everyone.

I wouldnt mind if ESPN got Madden and Michaels for Monday night games on ESPN and got the Sunday Night Crew for Sunday night games...now that would add some realism.
