Release Date Moved up as reported by IGN Sports

IGN Sports now reports that ESPN NFL 2K5 will be released August 10th, the same day as Madden.

Great find man, I'm glad it's not releasing too early. (July) They'll really compete this year in sales... When people see a game $30 cheeper then the other game. Hopefully the gameplay will be off-the-hook and a lot better than 2K4. (Which already had stellar gameplay)

The best move Sega has ever made. $20 and a earlier release date just might help Sega overcome Madden's strong sales...If they do a good job of advertising in late july and early august, I can't see them losing this time around.

Makes tons more sense.

Releasing 7/22 before even a single preseason game is played would be extremely strange, to say the least. Releasing on the same day as Madden with a lower price is a good business move. Not good for my pockets, but a good business move nonetheless.

you all know this release date is about as official as the 7/28 one earlier mentioned or the 8/24 or any other one they decide to throw out there until VC says something.
