Re: I converted my friend, but....
I had a friend come by yesterday who also plays video sports games. He has an Xbox and has always played Madden and NCAA is his favorite. Well last night we played ESPN all night and into the wee hours.
While playing our second game he said "You know, I think I like this better than Madden." I said "It's a great game, just a little different than what you're used to." Then as the wee hours were upon us he started to mention some things that he didn't like. He didn't like the DB's pass coverage, the tacking etc. In our last game he said, "You know after playing 6 games of this, I think that I like Madden better. This is cool but I think Madden is more like football to me."
I didn't post this to argue any of what he said. I posted to show something. This is a guy who doesn't sit on OS like us crack monkeys and post about every video clip, feature, etc. Hell he doesn't even watch a vid or look at screen shots. This is just his opinion and as you saw it changed dramatically in a few hours.
'Converting' people can't happen consistently. People like something, then they change their mind, then they like it again, etc. Have you ever bought a game, got bored or disappointed with it and traded it in? Then a few weeks later found out you missed it and bought it again?
People are analog, NOT digital. What we like today we may nit like tomorrow.
