2004 first round picks

I read today that houston is the first team to sign a first round pick and that happened today so my ? is since espn 2k5 is comin out early will all the 04 draft class names be included even if their not signed yet? thanks XBP

If not, they'll probably just be "CB #35" or something like that.

Yeah they'll just be in there with numbers if they don't sign. I remember when Madden came out first last year and didn't have Troy Polomalu in time so they just made him SS #41. ESPN came out later on so they had him.

I'm sure they'll have like TE#80, but I'm sure they'll be an XBL roster update after week one. So that's TE#80 on the browns will be Winslow II.

Interesting...is this what they did for Quentin Jammer when he held out?

You have to figure, though, that if the game comes out Aug 10...it means they have to probably be done doing everything with it by...say, Aug 7th or so...how many 2004 rookies will be signed by Aug 7th? I'm sure a good amount will, but I also believe there will be quite a few holdouts.

Either way, one of you guys should head over to espnvideogames.com, sign up for free, and ask this question to the developers in the "franchise questions" thread. They'll be answering them this Thursday. I'd love to know if holdouts will still have their picture, name, and facelikeness in the game. And if not--and if they come out with roster updates--will you be able to implement the "newly" signed rookie into your existing franchise.

I'd ask the question but I'm probably going to ask a different one. Can someone ask this, though? Thanks.
