Looks like they're still keeping a tight lip on this right now:

"To answer some of these questions, GameSpot contacted staffers at Visual Concepts, ESPN NFL 2K5's Sega-owned developer. "I wish that were true," said one after emitting an exhausted laugh, "but I won't have any information for you until tomorrow...we'll hopefully know more then." I talked to someone on the VC team today also. Sounds like they maybe waiting to make sure the passed MS certification.

I'm just amazed that they're gonna get it to go gold so quickly and get it out there to stores. So what do you guys think, will late July be the new standard for releasing the pro games? Or is this year an exception? Personally I think this will just be a one year thing since Espn is being ultra-aggressive this year. Nonetheless, I am one very happy sports gamer!

I Am thinking 1 year thing. VC is pulling out all the stops this year, in an attempt to gain some market share.
