If ESPN does infact ship July 20th, I may consider just downloading roster update before the start of the season. I have 2 quetions... (i have an XBOX and do not have XBOX Live btw)

1) What all will I need to buy and how much will it cost me?

2) Is the process of updating your rosters hard or lengthy?

Get a Max Drive (just came out in June) for $29.99 or get a used Action Replay/Mega X Key/Sharkport. Its easy to download rosters. Updating them all manually is much more time consuming.

Get an Action Replay. They're like $29.99 and really easy. Find the roster file you want here on the Files and Downloads section, save the file to your hard drive, open up the AR application on your cpu, plug the peripheral (w/memory card) into a usb port, and drag the roster file onto the AR application window. That's it! Then put the card into your controller, start the game and load the roster.

Someone told me about this yesterday and I was like WHY are so many people complaining abou these rosters??? Whether you have live or not you can still download them...It's easy

Do you need XBL to download rosters? or is it just for playing opponents online?

To download Sega's official releases, yes. But, if you have an Action Replay you can just get rosters here and they'll probably be better anyway.

Wont you still be able to get the official ESPN rosters here? I mean, cant someone with "live" and action replay just download the rosters from live, save them to the action replay memory card, then post them online?

that's exactly what many have been saying... in short yes. also the people that WILL do that will also make any adjustments that ESPN missed so they will probably be even better.
