I was in EB yesterday and they told me the ship date would be 7/20 and it would be in stores 7/21.

I think this is simply brilliant by the ESPN team. No way could EA bump up Madden any further without effecting the sales for NCAA. ESPN definitely making a last stand this year to try and take down Madden.

I hope this is true. The only thing that worries me are that the rosters won't be current.

I guess that's what the updates are for.

I'm pretty much assuming that 7/15 date is wrong, unless it can be confirmed? Madden is now moved up to a 7/28 release date, so I could see Sega/VC push ESPN 2K5 back a bit more, but it is getting kinda crazy.

How early do we want NFL football anyway? I've waited till early September some years (back in the Dreamcast days awaiting NFL2K1) and usually they are out late August. I could live with early August most years, but pushing it into mid or early July is wrong. Can we at least have the teams in training camp and ready for preseason games before the new football games?

Anyone think EA will be ready for an early July release next year? They'll need to push NCAA Football back to July 1st though to create room between the games. It's on, I guess.

Why would they push it back more, they are trying to get ahead of Madden , not behind them, unless I just read it wrong.

Im fine with ESPN coming out July 20th. People bring up the rosters, but that will not be a problem at all.

I'm fine with it too as long as the game is not being rushed.I don't want a game full of bugs just to try and beat Madden out the door

Over at the espnvideogames forums,there are a couple of people that said that the game is being shipped today.One of them said that it would be at an eb in miami by tonight.I don't know what to believe anymore,so I let you all be the judge.Link http://www.espnvideogames.com/commun...ic.php?t=22082

A few are saying that the games are already at the gamestop warehouse. If this is true, they need to go ahead and release the game. At least the pre-orders.
