It is supposed to speed up loading times but only for games written to take advantage of the HDD. This means it should speed up load times for all new games and do nothing for older ones.

i need a hard drive to back up some stuff on my regualar computer. can i kill two birds with one stone?

is the ps2 hard drive compatible with regular pc's?

is it usb or only network adapter?

is it usb 2.0?

any help would be apprecitated. it is $69.00 refurbished at ebgames.com

check out this little thingie that allows you to use a regular hdd on your ps2, (maxtor, seagate, etc...) its called hdloader you can go 120 mb of space while saving most of your games to the hd and loading them from it
