Anyone considering taking a break from the forums when they get 2k5?

Every year, I get excited about a game up until its release. And then every year I read negative posts at forums, bug reports, and glitch findings that ultimately sour my experience of the game. Especially consdiering that oftentimes the glitches are things I would never have found out on my own, but nag at me when I do find out about them.

This year, since ESPN 2k5 is looking so good, maybe too good to be true even, I am seriously thinking about taking a break from this forum so that I can enjoy the game without "outside" negativity.

Is anyone else considering doing this or am I on my own here?

I'd like to say I share that mindset, but truthfully, I don't.

The MVP lefty homerun glitch absolutely killed the game for me, and it was a glitch that I know I would never have discovered on my own, period.

The player progression glitch was another one to a lesser extent. I likely would never have played enough to notice, but the fact that I knew about it annoyed me and turned me off on the game.

In this case, I would rather be ignorant than informed, because ultimately I think ignorance may allow one to enjoy a game more; simply because they aren't aware of the glitches, and thus, they don't care or let them bother their experience.

You can already see some of the negative comments popping up. Things I could really care less about. I won't take a break from the forums, but I WON'T be going into the bugs/glitches thread. If there is a REAL glitch, I will discover it for myself.

yea the things people are complaining about now are no biggies to me.. like depth charts or whatever. i dont want to see any of the glitches either.. if it is a HUGE glitch i will notice for myself if not, oh well.

I think this is a good point. Right now hype has fueled my visiting these forums simply because you want to hear and be a part of the buzz that is NFL 2K5. When I get my hands on it, I will have little time to visit as often as I currently do. I may stop by to see if any of the posters I admire are putting anything up.
