any idea on how to fix this? I'm using the Steelers and have been racking up the yards with Burress and Ward. This game would be perfect if it weren't for this annoying problem.

PRO or ALL PRO? I sure don't notice that on ALL PRO.

Pro is for chumps. Its the same story as "Pro" on MADDEN.
Bump it up if you haven't already.

Just because a guy is wide open twice or thrice it doesn't necessarily make it a money play or anything like it. I use the Steelers too and that seems to be the only consistent play I run although if I use it too much in the first half, it will get picked in the second.

Re: slant plays are still money.

I haven't run into one single money play. I have run into other people's money plays, but after the 3rd or 4th time, it wsn't so money anymore. As soon as I recognize the formation, I hot-route a guy to double-team his "money" player and I have gotten a few pics this way. usually I just knock it down. The one money I coudln't stop was the QB scramble, that is until I finnaly figured out how to spy. Now I just spy Tedy "Ice Cold" Bruschi when it looks like there will be a scramble. Other times, I will spy a blitzing corner, or double-team their best reciever every few plays w/ a blitzer. I LOVE the defensive hot-routes, it definitly changes the way you think about playing defense when you learn them.

how do you spy? It says make the selected player spy by pressing the R trigger.. Doesn't seem to work. I can delay blitz, double team, etc. Do you have to have a blitzer to spy?

Re: slant plays are still money.

You can spy with any player on any play. You hold down the trigger(LB/DB) and press the button for the defender you want to spy, then you release the trigger(LB/DB) and pull the right trigger.

Unless you've played against multiple teams for 30+ hours it's really hard to say slants are money. Play against the Bucs or Dolphins and you won't repeatedly complete those plays. The corners and linebackers are too good. Trust me I tried the slant against the Dolphins and Mr. Surtain took it to the house on me.
