What do the White/Black Buttons Do on Defense After the Snap?

Guess I was thinking about Madden and I thought someone told me R stick hits the players as well...just confused myself I guess.

I thought you could choose between a BIG HIT or just a wrap up tackle? How do you make a big hit? Do you charge up then press X?

Tap it for hit, and hold it for wrap. I tried it in practice mode and it seemed to work fine. I'm not sure why everyone is saying use the stick. I hear that works too, but I don't know
