I like them about the same...for different reasons. NCAA 2005 is kinda over the top with the D but its not to the point where its unplayable. Plus its a little easier to control yur players in it than it is in ESPN. Overall though I think ESPN is a better game.

same here!! lol espn is much more enjoyable than ncaa. espn takes so much time as it is.

I wanted to vote for NCAA, but ESPN isn't broken, so it gets my vote. In real life I prefer watching college ball to the pros, but this year for my gaming it seems the pros are more fun.

I feel that ESPN is much more detailed simulation of football depth with the matchups, strategies and player developments. Also the tackling model is more interactive but I find NCAA to have more fluid player movement and feels better in your hands playing it....I enjoy the the option play and more wide open feel of college football along with the excitement of recruiting. Also i feel the passing dynamics, physics and variety of NCAA are more enjoyable and alive whereas ESPN's passing model still can feel very stiff. They need to still work on improving their passing engine for next year.

So I think I will enjoy both. But it can be hard to go back to NCAA when you get used to the more immersive football style that ESPN brings to the table. It really makes NCAA/ and Madden for that matter feel like a simplified video game.

I defintely wanted to like NCAA 2005 more but after playing ESPN, it's not even close, ESPN is a substantially more polished product. I wished ESPN would begin making College Football games again. I'm not even a big NFL fan, but hell you can't help but love ESPN 2K5, it's so refined, looks beautiful and the presentation is the best in sports gaming history. I have already sold my NCAA Football, I just knew that ESPN would take up the majority of my football gaming time.
