Two things in this game were overdone due to 2k4

I really like this game, and I know there are sliders for this but the yards after the hit are very rare, as are decent kick returns. Other then that I love this game. I'm 3 games deep into my season, and Julius Jones is maybe 10th in the league in rushing, but he's averaging 0.1 YAH. Seems a little off.

The rule of thumb is: if you have a quick back, juke and spin. If you have a big back, shoulder charge. I've played with both types and average 80-100 ypg. If you can hit the holes when they open, and juke or charge your way upfield, you can transform your runnig game.

I traded for J Jones in my Pats dynasty. My YAH are about 1-2, but my YPC is at about 4.3... I run up the gut or a strong sweep w/ extra blockers. I have found he is able to do both the power and finese moves pretty good.

I noticed a few things about the running game playing with Dallas.

Julius Jones (backs like him) rarely break tackles running up the gut, and I hardly ever see him break one on one tackles unless I throw a juke in there, or a stiff arm. Doing a juke up the middle isn't really to productive anyway because you have a bunch of LBs ready to drill you and it takes a second too long to pull of the move. I do gain big yards with him, but its usually with a toss, or some kind of run to the outside.


Eddie George on the other hand does gain a few yards here and there after the hit. The way he breaks tackles seems just about right. Sometimes he will go down on the first hit, other times he will break the initial tackle and then get taken down a yard or two after from a second defender.




Like I said, I know I can change the sliders around, but I feel like I'm cheating if I change every possible slider to make the game more in my favor.

I think I have 0 yah yards after 3 games with warrick dunn. I juke and they miss or I go down, he's a lil dude.

It's all about at fast A (or X) tappin' thumb baby! I have no problems getting yards after being hit with Tatum Bell.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I have been trying this and my thumbs cannot tap any faster. I tap the crap out of the button, swirve around the Rt nipple, etc.....

No YAC for me.

you can tap for a burst, but the actual speed burst isnt over done
