Clouds

Chalk this one up in the "meaningless but cool graphical touches"

Playing in Baltimore, I noticed some rather dark shadows on the field near the line of scrimmage. Since the next play was an incomplete pass, the ball came back to the same spot, but those shadows had moved. Looking more closely, they were slowly moving during the play! I know it's more or less pointless, but I thought it was pretty cool, and a nice touch of realism.

Re: Clouds

I have noticed that as well. Nice touch by VC. Graphics in this game are top notch. Best I have seen for a sports title.

I have the PS2 version and I've noticed the hard edge of the alpha map they are using for the clouds, meaning you can see where the image of the clouds ends. Still, it's a nice touch to have the clouds moving. I like how they even cast shadows on the players.

I've noticed the edges, too, but it's still a very cool touch. The blimp shocked the hell out of me when I first saw its shadow floating over the field.

The first time I saw the clouds' shadows on the field, I was puzzled, then I was like "oh, hahah, clouds." I've yet to see a zeppelin shadow though.
