The same thing happened to me but offline. Quentin Griffin had 13 carries for 52 yards and then they called clipping and I had 13 carries for 14 yards. 1.1 yards per carry. I was so upset that I just quit the game all together. I love the game and everything but there's no excuse why they can't get something this easy right.

Don't know about PS2 but XBox has a HD and can be patched. It's already been done many times.

Agreed...these days Live makes the Xbox as easy to patch as a pc game. Hey, if you have their ear at all, can you ask them to bump up a few ratings so the QBs don't throw into double and triple coverage so much? ; )

One thing that some folks forget is that EVEN IF the testers catch or find a bug IT DOES NOT MEAN that the company has found the source of it or that they can necessarily fix it so don't just blame the testers right off the bat. This goes for any game, not just this one.

Let me help you understand something about testing. As a tester since 1991 for a game company that made racing simulations for the PC, I got a pretty good feel for why bugs like this are in games.

Testers usually report bugs of this, and if there is time to fix them, they get fixed. With the pushed up released date, they probably just did not have time to get to it before the game went gold. I almost guarantee that the testers reported the bug so don't blame them.

I've only played a few games but two things that stood out to me that were odd was.

Player A rushed for 4 yards on 1st and 10. Facemask, NON personal foul, 5yd penalty. So it should be 2nd and 1 right? (4yards from rush attempt + 5 yards for penalty). Nope it's 1st and one now. Huh? Seems they think that you do the down over on every penalty. Which of course is wrong.

Other thing that really sucked. I'm at the D's 7yd line. Missed FG. Other team should get the ball at the 14 right? (7yds back where the holder got the ball)...Nope, they just put it out on the 20. Is there some new NFL rule this year where missed FG's go back to the 20?
