First let me say, I like Kitna, but I still think last year was a fluke. He's a very solid backup QB.
I've watched a few practices where Palmer had the start, and a few of the scrimmages where Palmer was in charge...
Palmer has the quick release, the pocket awareness, and the light touch to play a good QB. I think he'll have to adjust to the speed of the NFL, but he's gotten a good look at it from the bench. I'm pretty sure they had CP run a few of the meeting last year, as well. I've been a Bengals fan almost as long as I've been a Reds fan... (Started watching the Reds in 1966) and I've seen the good QB's (Boomer, Anderson) and I've seen the bad...(Take your pic) and I think Palmer will be a good one, somewhere in the Kenny Anderson type mold. At least I hope so!
