Difficulty Modifier

Here's a thought though....

You can change the difficulty settings mid-game. How does this affect the difficulty modifier? Is it possible to cheat to get more Crib points? If the difficulty modifier is based on the settings at the beginning of the game couldn't you cheat it by starting on Legend and then switching to Rookie early in the game? If it's based on the settings at the end of the game, couldn't you play the whole game on Rookie and then switch it to Legend before the very last play?

Or does modifying the difficulty mid-game nullify your crib points?

That's a good question that I don't know the answer to. I'm just trying to tweak for better gameplay. I've got about 3500 crib points stocked up because I don't even use the thing. What I do is play a bit then make changes then go to Quit>Rematch so that I can see what the modifier changed to. It doesn't change as soon as you make slider changes.
