I agree with you on the DL point. It's better in ESPN without a doubt.

But your landslide comment? HARDLY... That's neither here nor there. Both games beat the other in many categories, and match up well in others... it's too close to declare a "winner." All it falls down to is:

"What are you willing to put up with (or sacrifice) this video game football season?"

I guess I should have said IMO it wins by a landslide. I don't think it's even close. I've been a Madden fan since the beginning but I feel VC has a far better game this year.

I'm curious as to what aspects of Madden you think is done well compared to ESPN? I'm not trying to start a VC/EA war. I truly don't see anything better except for the non-gameplay issues such as franchise, player progression, etc.

I am totally in ESPN 2k5's corner this time around. I took Madden 2005 back to the store and applied the $$$$ towards GTA: San Andrea

I have both games, ESPN and Madden and Madden is clearly the better game. ESPN is great in many ways, presentation and rushing wise, but Madden is just alot better in team tendencies and overall solidness. Sega needs to bugtest bigtime.

I'm enjoying both Madden and ESPN, Madden for its very excellent and deep franchise mode, and ESPN for its better online leagues.

madden 2005 is a great game, but it is in no way shape or form clearly better than espn 2k5...

I just play single seasons in games...so I'm having alot of fun in ESPN. I can see how Madden would be really awesome for serious franchise nuts, but I don't have enough time to play multiple seasons.
