I'm getting a little worried. I have been getting this message ever since I bought the game when I go online and try to hook up with someone to play a game. I was almost positive that I read a blurb about this saying that it's a problem for some people, and Sega was going to have a patch (I think released on the 16th) that fixes this.

But, lately I'm reading people say it's something you need to fix yourself by deleting all 2k5 files from your xbox and start all over. I've done that 5 times now and it has not changed anything.

Can someone verify for me that there is a patch that will be coming soon that will fix this problem? And are there others who are expereinceing this problem?

Just log out of XBOX live and log back in and it should be fixed.

lol....I've had the game since it was released. You know how many times I've been online, offline, online, offline?

Just curious, how are you logging onto XBOX live? Are you using a router? DSL or cable? I know that we are literally minutes away from each other. We can arrange to hook up one day and see if we can't get it resolved.

i use a router and have cable. Always have had a great connection.

do you have your modified rosters loaded?

I had this problem...I had switched a round a few things and adjusted a few ratings. So i had that setup as my default roster.

In the end I had to change my roster to a different name other than "default roster"

Perfection, the only thing I've done is to start up a franchise. Obviously, those rosters get changed from the default rosters. But, I'm pretty sure that you have a franchise roster that is seperate from your default rosters, so that should have no bearing.

But, let me get back to my original question....is there a patch coming that is going to fix this problem? I read on here a week or so after the game was released there was a patch to be released and among the things it was supposed to fix was the "can't verify default rosters" error many people were getting.

I don't see how it could be related to anything I am doing.
