I nearly got shutout (my offense did, but I scored 7 thanks to a Brian Simmons fumble recovery TD for 75 yards) in the snow to the Bills just now. I've fallen 0-2 since losing Carson Palmer to a season ending shoulder injury (broken), and my playoff hopes are slipping away. Thankfully, every other team in the North has been mediocre thus far as well.
I had to sign Mark Brunell to a 1 year deal, since I don't have much confidence in my rookie 2nd string QB, Josh Harris [Rated 60].
Anyways, onto my "offense".
Brunell: 0-8, 1 INT. Yep. Not one complete MF pass.
Mark was pretty solid in his first game as a Bengal, but in the snow in Buffalo was a complete disaster.
I brought in Josh Harris for the 2nd half. The score was 9-0. I held them to 3 field goals, thanks alot to Sam Adams who had 4 sacks and 9 tackles!
Josh Harris: 4-15, 69 Yrds.
The game was horrible. I couldn't do anything right. On the rushing side, Onterro Smith (my starting RB) just ran for 18 yards on 8 attempts (2.2 avg) and fumlbed once. Chris Perry, the other RB, fumlbed once on a kick return. Both times the ball ended up in the hands of the Bills.
Lost 7-23.
BTW, this is 2005, my 2nd year in Franchise - not 2004.
