Punt And Kick Returns...impossible?...

i've had the game since the release date, and have yet to return a kick. the best i've done is a 43 yrd punt return (Hall). this is really my only true gripe with this awesome game. anyone having some success with this...

I returned a punt 70 some yards with Troy Brown for a TD...not sure on the kickoffs...some teams' special teams coverage definitely helps a bit....Just try as hard as you can every time and a lane will open up eventually...mine didn't seem to be going anywhere at first either then i got some great blocks...it was on All Pro btw.

after about 30 offline games or so, i returned a punt and a kick off for an interception with d'angelo hall.

And in 15 games online i took a punt back all the way once.

Against the cpu, i ran in one direction first, then cut across the field till i was home. its very difficult because i cant really repeat the success.

The one I returned online was spectacular(D'Angelo Hall also) i cant even remember what i did, i juked about 4 guys, broke one tackle, i think everything fell in place magically with the blocks, returns are too difficult.

I have had at least 3 kick off returns, and 2 punt returns for TD's. It's not the easiest thing to pull off but it is possible. The cpu has taken 2 to the house on me as well for sure! I found the punt returns the easiest.

I'll tell you this, it sure feels good when you do pull it off!

Definitely use the right stick to pull off some jukes if you aren't already on both punt and kick returns.

i did it too, online and in the game, hey it does not happen every day so why are we upset that it doesn't happen every game in ESPN? Game on!! I love the realism...the DB's are another issue though...

I took a kick back with I think Santana Moss, and had Phillip Buchanon take a punt back against me. Both were online.

That's it though, they have some work to do with special teams. Last year, kick returns were to easy, but instead of really fixing it, they just made the return team not block.
