Extra Cheese ruining online play: DE Cheat

I don't have XBL so I mostly play the CPU. Still it frustrated me reading this thread. Playing a sports game and using un-realistic methods to win is just pathetic. If I finished a game and I had more than a couple of sacks I would be frustrated with the CPU AI being to easy and not realistic. For you online guys sake maybe these cheesers will grow mold and play a cheesy game like Tyson's Punchout!

i've had it with online..especially 2k5...i vowed never to play a guy who takes the vikes but i wanted to try and see if i could stop him with the ravens..well he kept scrambling with culpep and throwing lobs to Moss even thought i matched up c-Mac on him and played tight man coverage with Reed always helping out and still couldn't get the d
going...

If i do play,it's only with peeps from OS!

I had the same results playing the Vikes, the guy threw to Moss all day and was catching everything even in triple or quadruple coverage. That didnt bother me. Running with Dante was his 1st option then throw to Moss. That was last week. I dont have much of a problem with scrambling QB's anymore. I do use the Eagles but if you play me you would know I play straight up, hell people are probably wondering why I dont run with Mcnabb more. Granted TO is a monster I had several players that know how to shut him down but I got Pinkston or Lewis

You cannot enable multiple hot routes online. That option is taken out because people abused this feature and made it hella cheap to use. I initially loved having it on in last year's 2K4, but then I witnessed how bad it can get when abused in that game, so I don't mind it not being available for this game.

Whenever the EQ option is on, it evens out the talent level of all teams.

And to view you own VIP stuff you have to create a public game, highlight your name on the screen, then press in (click) the right thumbstick.

Guys try playing your games with the Performance Eq-On. This doesn't make both team equals as I 've heartd people posting in other forums. My ezperience with Eq-On has been awesome. What I noticed is your player AI reacts to plays like it's real life counterpart. Yeah you will still get some weird AI play, but for most part players react right on time. This also will stop cheesers from trying the same play over & over & over again. You will have to be creative in your play calling. Both on Offense & Defense. Yesterday I played someone who played with the Eagles. You know the rest of the story. On Defense I kept mixing-it up. Stopped McNabb a couple of times in the 1st half. He then strated the "Slant to T.O." So I started calling Bear Zones. This confused the crap out of him. Everytime hae saw my Linebackers @ the line he would audible to a slant. Not knowing my LB would drooped back to zone the slot. What happened 2 INT'S with my LB's. @ the beginning of the game you would hear his Menu Play Callin real quik like he had a couple of plays he was using all-the-time. As soon as I stopped those plays, man did his Menu Play Calling get slow. I ended-up winning the game. 17-6. McNabb 50 Yds Rushing. TO got his, but stopping McNabb was my game plan. Almost like the "Jordan Rules" Stop the other teams Big-Gun & force them to beat you with someone else. So give Eq-On a try & see what I'm talking about. This feature has made my online experience so much better, I've stopped my Franchise, for Online. I haven't had so much fun with a game in a while.

I have never played an online game but in all my years of football gaming, I have always controlled the D-Line on every play on defense. I don't get an unrealistic amount of sacks in my offline games. (Rice finished with 14.5 to lead my Bucs. Team total was around 30)

If I make the jump to online, how am I suppose to play and not be considered cheese if all I can play on defense is the D-Line and every seems to think that playing as the D-Line is cheese?

There's a very specific move that exploits the blocking code. It's a power-up, inside move which I believe is either a swim or that 'hammer' thing. It flies right through the line on every single play.

I'll keep trying to do the things discussed here to combat it, but I hate having to do a bunch of stupid sh!t in order to compete online. I guess I really will have to just stick to my Friends list...
