For those of you with a Jets Franchise...

If you're playing a Jets franchise, how did you handle the Pennington, Abraham, Ellis contract situation? Lamont Jordan for that matter too.
I'm finding the Jets cap to be very challenging thanks mostly to Curtis Martin's obsene contract and bonus. Pennington is a no brainer for me and at the moment I'm thinking of keeping Abe over Ellis cause he seems to be the better player in the game (not sure if I'd agree with that in real life though).
Just wondering how others handled the situation and if anyone found a way to clear cap space on this team?

I was able to keep them all except for Jordan who I didn't really want. I didn't have to do much.

Yeah, but did that pretty much leave you out of the free agent market for the rest of the season or did you have anything left to go after some other guys?

I haven't started franchise yet, but suggestion would be to draft a back

You need to get rid of Dwayne Robertson (?) the young DT, he is waaaaaaaaaaay overpayed and he never progressed with me.

I don't remember exactly how much cap room I had left. I didn't really sign any big name free agents, but there weren't many available. I went to the AFC Championship my first year, so I was more concerned with keeping the team together.

Well i havent finished my season yet, but i would suggest keeping either Ellis or Abraham(whichever is the better value), as well as Pennington. I would let LaMont Jordan go, like the Jets will do next year. Since Ward is extremely underrated(47?!?!), it is in your best interest to draft a running back or pick up a cheap one in the FA market.

I can tell you that I am in the 4th year of my Packer season and I signed Ellis before year 2 and he has been a beast for me. He has progressed to a 93 overall and has had 2, going on 3, all-pro seasons.
