I'm still getting 2k5 under my belt. Graphically the game is beautiful. But there is one thing that I really think would send this game over the top for 2k6. It might not be popular, and it might cause some to frown, but I can't help but think that 16 to 32 way movement will send this game over the hill.
Go into practice mode. Use a team that has the Weak Blast 1 in their 43 Defense (Panthers, Seahawks, Eagles are a few). Call all IN line stunt. Now select I Pro for the offense, Weak Iso. Don't make any shifts on defense. Now this play should blow up that weak iso. But watch the blitzer. He is going to follow his blitz route, but he is going to run directly passed the HB and let him go. The reason, IT SEEMS is because he can only move in 8 directions. So the blitzer goes down, reaches the end of his route, then turns right. But the HB is past him. You can fix it by delaying him, but he should make this play to begin with. If he could move 16 ways he could make the play and it would look more fluid. Thoughts? But do NOT comment unless you have done what I've asked.

Agreed.
Movement in Space is the main issue that needs to be addressed next yr in terms of gameplay. Defensive pursuit isn't the only area where the ai is hindered by lack of 16-32 directional movement ... pass coverage and run/pass blocking are as well. I think we'll see or should see a significant improvement in this area next yr.
Great Post, man.
