??? Break-aways ???

Have you guys been having problems with this? I can get out in the open but I am getting caught. with 96 speed!!!

Are there any moves I should consider? I'm running with Clinton Portis and he just cant seem to keep his lead in the open.

Someone mentioned that lowering the Pursuit slider will help prevent DB's from catching you from behind. I haven't tried it myself.

What level are playing on?

I'm using the Redskins, so I run with Portis as well and I usually have a 50 yard run every game or so, and I've had 60-80 yard runs about 4 or 5 times. My advice would either to do a sweep play or a play where you stack one side and have guards pulling over to the strong side. Or you can do a goaline offense play and run up the middle with the FB blocking.

BTW, I use the FB a lot to block.

i'm really bad at running, i've only had one break away play with jamaal lewis and that was against a giants team with an injured middle linebacker so he coudln't takle that well.

I'm playing on legend. I can get to the outside, but if there is anybody near me I am 99% sure I'm not gonna make it. I've tried cutting to the inside, spinning, straight arms and even slowing down and changing direction (diagonally). It seems like the juke/cut takes too long.

make sure your guy isn't tired. i play with ladanian and sometimes i have busted out and gone and others i have been caught from behind. if you hurry to the line all the time your players never rest.

I find running impossible on legend. I might get a 10 yard gain every 40 plays and get an offensive hold with it. So I stick to passing on legend

Really? My offense revolves around the running game. I get a lot of 3 - 4 yard gains then a 25 - 30 yard carry here and there. I learned to try and mix it up a little. Or the D-Line will start to cheat. I like the idea of using the FB though. I still don't use it much. A bunch of my plays are with three recievers and 1 TE.
