Last Active Players from 2K5

A few years back, I remember the folks at TecmoBowl.org as they counted down the last players from the Tecmo SB original roster. I believe Sean Landetta was the last one.

I thought it would be fun to do the same with 2K5. I am not 100% positive, but my quick research says we are down to 6 players:

Eli Manning
Josh McCown
Drew Brees
Tom Brady
Matt Bryant
Adam Vinatieri

Seeing that list makes me feel old. I remember going out to buy this game, blown away on how much better it was compared to Madden.

So with Brady's retirement, I think the original 2K5 roster is now all retired.
It is a sad day. I feel old.

Cardinals punter Andy Lee - who I believe appeared in NFL 2K5 as a rookie on the 49ers - is the game's sole remaining champion.

Larry Fitzgerald is also not officially retired as far as I know, but obviously he did not play at all this season.
