The draft is broken in franchise mode ..right???

Hey guys, is the draft in the franchise mode broken?? I SIMED a season with the steelers and the computer only picked HB's and something else in the first rond no matter what the projected pick was. I didn't look through the glitches section to see if this is true...however if it is how are you guys dealing with it? Just and FYI..I'm running on a PS2 and I am aware of the clipping glitch ...unless they fixed it somehow on the PS2. Well, let me know how you are all doing in your franchises. I also heard somewhere that there are offline rosters now??? Sorry, I haven't been playing at all since madden came out ...but madden is just terrible as far as it's DB AI and I can't take it anymore!! I love it's franchise options but if you can't play it what good are all of the franchise options if you can't play.....ya know???

That's never gonna happen. But to get away from beating a dead horse...the only way you can have a logical draft in ESPN is to control all teams and scout their needs.

The other way to have a logical fair draft is to only pick from the five or so positions that the computer picks from in the first round. That way everyone is on the same level.

Round two will see all of the top players not in one of the "first round positions" fly off the board.

I myself haven't found the draft to be bad. If there is a stud DB, DE, LB or whatever the Comp seem sto snatch them right up. If anything in my experience the Comp seems to snatch all the defensive studs up rather quickly. It's the offensive postions I always find lacking. There never seems to be more than one or 2 really good offensive skill position players in the draft. If anything I find that it's overwhelmed with mediocre players from Round 1 to 7.
