NFL 2K5 Mod Bringing Updated Textures and More to Timeless Classic

Hey everyone -

With the help of the community developer TopazTK, we now have a more robust way of dumping textures from the PCSX2 emulator. The plug-in is still in development, but a small team of us in the NFL2K5 discord community are already busy refreshing textures. While the project is very ambitious, I believe the team will have something as legendary as NFL2K5 itself when finished.

A few in-game examples which will include uniforms, stadiums, menus, player photos and anything else the Mod team puts in-scope.

I wish there was a way to add the uniform textures/detail the Xbox version of the game has. Oh, and custom music of course. At that point I would truly be satisfied.

This game is the Biggie smalls of the rap game.

The most overrated of all time.

How powerful of a PC is needed for something like this? Also - could someone post an invite to the Discord page? I'd like to check it out and figure out how to get in on this.

Quad core 3.2 GHz CPU
+
4 GB RAM Graphics Card

But before you purchase a new PC or any parts for this, try it out on your current rig.

If you have the PS2 version, rip the disc to your PC as an ISO. That isn't illegal.

Thanks, Blzer. Would be happy to pick up a copy of 2k5 on PS2 to rip and use, but I'm on a Mac and it doesn't look like there are any current, stable emulators on Mac

Forgive my ignorance, searched high and low for the answer on the Discord page, and on the interwebs;

Can stats be edited for this game? (players season stats, career stats)

This is the most feature-rich football game I have ever seen.

The last time the competition did anything innovative was 75-man rosters... a whole decade ago.
