My understanding is that the only way it would have been possible to play online with current rosters is if it would have been through XBConnect and using a "special" XBox. However, XBC confirmed a long time ago that there was something in the coding of the game that disallowed that, unlike some of there other sports games that they can handle.

I think that if there was any way in hell that VC could somehow allow custom rosters in the game (like EA did for MVP2005 at one time), you'd see plenty of regular XBoxes being repurchased.......but that's just not going to happen.

If there's some master IP2IP technician out there who could somehow allow someone to completely host a game, allowing a guest to join in, he'd probably get chicks!

Are you guys saying that 2K5 is still online for the Xbox? I've played this game for years on the PS 2 and it broke my heart went they stopped making it. If this game is still available online I am going to the store tomorrow to buy an Xbox. Which one do I need? 360 or the old one? Please reply because this game is the love of my life. Thanks.

In NFL Fever you cold use custom rosters online. Why can't we in this? That was in 2003 to.

Are you thinking a sim style..? realistic sliders or wide open arena style.
