Donations to Flying Finn

Just saw in his last posting that only 3 people have helped the cause.

Boys.... that's pathetic!!!

This guy has pretty much single-handedly given this game life into this season and season's to come. You would have gladly paid 30 or 40 dollars for an NFL 2K6 this year, but you won't contribute to this cause? Whether you're a roster maker or just benefitted from the roster makers as well?

That's pretty sad guys...... c'mon.... y'all are better than this.

Maybe part of the problem is that we all don't have a PayPal account which is understandable. Finn, maybe you have a P.O. Box or something where people could send checks/money orders.

I've already contributed twice over time and need to do so again. I'll challenge everyone to match a contribution I'm going to make tonight via PayPal of $20.

I donated last night to the tune of $75...I don't expect others to match, but $5 or $10 here and there will help a ton! And keep him interested and motivated to take on more functionality....

Although appreciated, the donation drive is not necessary. One thing I've learned through all my years doing this is not to do it for a monetary gain... It only leads to more grief then the money is worth. I just hope I can help make a great game more enjoyable for every one.

I do truly appreciate the generosity of you both... it was well above and beyond...

Thanks for your humility FF, but I think it's important in this day and age of "well, if I can get it through the internet, it should be free" mentality, younger guys understand the value of something they're using.

Personally, I think you're program should be picked up by manufacturers/programmers and incorporated in the game. After all, people can buy keyboards for the XBox (not sure about PS2/3) to make using something like that easier.

After all, look at DOOM. It started out as a shareware program and now see where it's at! Who knows, one day there could be a movie featuring The Rock using your editor! lol

Thanks daflyboys for making it clear we haven't been treating finn fairly...we all have been using his program which is single handedly keeping NFL 2k5 alive, and we don't give anything back. I just donated and I hope everyone else does too. Finn's editor is getting so ridiculously amazing that it can edit everything from schedule, draft class, pbp names, and player pics...heck we don't even need 2kgames to make another game since Finn is around (though I know we'd all like them to). Finn, thanks a million for all your hard work. Once you release another feature for your editor that completely blows me away, I'm sure I'll be donating again.
