IF you'd feel safer, here's Tpaterniti's own site, you can download it in ARMax format there:

www.geocities.com/tapaterniti

As for the downloaded rosters, they work 100% on the PS3; you'll need the ARMax, a USB stick (comes in ARMax package), and the memory card adaptor.

Unfortunately, you CAN'T upload rosters simply with a USB stick, or other memory card (for the 60 gig owners).. I tried, searched, every method I could think of. The system wont recognize it to therefore move to an internal mem card.

Stuck in the middle? IT'S WORTH EVERY PENNY. My PS2 died just two weeks before I picked up my 3, and several sweet games were collecting dust b/c it wasnt the same w/o my saves.
Now I have them. And I have my 2k5 back.

'Eff EA. Nuff respect to Tpat for his efforts ; I wish I could make the time to contribute some feedback/input/progressive work for the sake of the community.

Took me a while to find the adapters locally.. by chance WalMart had ONE shipped to them. SamGoodys.com and some other site's Ive seen have them (walmart.com last was sold out.. as of last week?) in stock. I recommend picking it up highly. *wink*

If you dont want to pick up the ARMax, Tpat's gracious enough to upload the save to your memory card, free of charge-- just mail the card and give him a few days. You can contact him via the site. Very above-board reputation-wise, if you havent been exposed to his presence in the roster edits.
Ok, let me see if I have this straight. You download the rosters from OS, save them to the ARmax usb stick, then plug it in the ps3 and save it on the interal ps2 memory card and I'm good to go?

Re: NFL2k5 on PS3 with PS2 Rosters?

the rosters on that website (tpat's) are not rosters at all, the file is a franchise file. I've tried to contact him to let him know, but no response yet; would love to be able edit the roster because the franchise file has you controlling all 32 teams - which means I have to follow every team in the offseason, which isn't that fun as it gives no control to the CPU.

All that said, it's by far the greatest updated roster and tpat has done an absolutely incredible job. The hours he's put in are phenominal, I plan on trying the same thing - I'm sure we all have - but here's someone who actually did it.

Can't you export all of the teams and save it?

eff_ea_sports, can't you do the same thing? I am not familiar with action replay but what if you exported the teams in the franchise, saved the rosters onto a memory stick and upload it?

This would be crazy awesome if possible.

if they have it like you said it, yup you can copy it just like that.

I tried this. Exported the teams and was not able to edit them anywhere within the game. This is why an external editor is so vital for the continuation of this game on the ps2. It would make roster editors jobs so easy. I don't know about you guys, but I'm willing to pay for someone to create one. I've got a franchise going on in Madden, reporting it at several forums - and at the moment I dont' have the willpower to play it, I put alot into it, but now I'm just disgusted by the site of Madden.

We can make this game as up to date as possible, we just have to find the right people to do so - wish the xbox editors would figure out a way to either convert their files or oblige to making a ps2 only editor.

Re: NFL2k5 on PS3 with PS2 Rosters?

what does tpat do to transfer the files over to a memory card if you send one?

eff_ea_sports, can you send him a regular memory card, have him put it on there, and then use the PS2 memory adapter to transfer the file onto a drive?

POSSIBLE??
