2008 roster 49ers defense

i thought that the niners were going to have a pretty good defense with their new additions, but on the 2008 franchise their defense was only an overall of 77.

Was the depth chart accurate? And how many "low" rated players are there? Remember, the offensive and defensive ratings are based on all the players that are on offense and defense. For example, if you have all eleven starters rated 80 but one other player rated 40, that average of 80 will decrease.

Personally, 77 is pretty good considering the fact that the defense was ranked somewhere in the mid 20's which is bad.
