Is ESPN 2K5 better on the xbox or ps2? I Have the xbox ver. but have never played it on ps2. I love the xbox ver. Have heard that the ps2 ver. will play on the ps3. Can you down load the new rosters on the ps3? since espn 25k will not play on the 360 i might get a ps3 if the rosters can be updated. is ther anything missing form the ps2 ver. that is on the xbox?

same limited updates that are available for PS2 (assuming someone has converted the file to PS3... so i guess actually even fewer available for PS3).Can you down load the new rosters on the ps3?

not even close, XBOX all the way, ps2 version is very limited. However, Xbox has endless possibilies for modding rosters due to flying finns NFL 2K5 EDITOR and the handfull of guys here at OS that do rosters. And now there's this NFL HISTORY PROGRAM that can generate any season from the past. literally thousands of possibilies. Also you can have custom stadium music, the halftime and postgame shows is fully animated video highlights as opposed to ps2 that is just stills. Oh and not to mention that with finn's editor you can import the newest NFL schedule to coincide with the real NFL 07-08 and beyond.
Just pick up a preowened copy at gamestop for like 99 cents(like68 cents if you have an edge card.lol) get an action replay that comes with a memory card then come on OS and start having a ball.Comment

the PS3 you can get rosters online, up them to a USB drive, and then load it up on the game, it's easy to do and you dont' have to buy AR or anything like that.Comment

So now I'm actually interested in this and my friend already has his Xbox and copy of 2k5 that he doesn't play anymore. So all I need is the AR max drive and the Finn editor? I have both versions. I started playing NFL2k5 on PS2 & it was by far my favorite game. It was good enough to turn me away from anything EA sports would ever put out in the future. I considered myself a Playstation guy 4 life so I never really gave XBOX a chance. I came across an XBOX for a good deal so I decided to see what was going on. I got a new copy of the XBOX version for $1.99, an AR replay for $19.99 and it's like a totally different game. The graphics are 10x's better;gameplay feels better, you can play yur favoritetunes, plus w/ Finn's roster editor, the replay value is endless. I was even able to create myself and use Asante Samuel's pic. My gf thought that was really me on the game b/c of the resembalance. I love this game and XBOX's version has changed my mind about buying a PS3. I think im going w/ XBOX 360 instead.Comment
