Historic team question for you guys

I thought 42 was the minimum? If that's the case, and you're wanting to fill out a 40 man limit, then why not make an extra phantom kicker and punter, who almost never get injured?

^capa meant 40 was the maximum real-life roster count back in the old days (as opposed to 53 today)... so many of his teams have only 40 players to create

and since you're correct that 42 is the minimum in-game (& historic teams are locked @ 53 or 54 i forget) he has a dilemma
