Hello - new to the board

Hello all, I'm incredibly excited to see there are people out there who agree that 2K5 is the best football game ever. I've owned the game for XBOX since it's release and have been playing it faithfully since. However, I recently got a AR Max for PS2 and figured since I have that, I'd update my 2K5 for PS2... is there any updated PS2 roster out there? If it's somewhere obvious, please excuse my denseness. Thanks!

I'm a 360 user so I can't help you with the PS2 question you have. Look through the thread for rosters, I'm sure you'll find something.

First off welcome. Secondly from all the posts on this forum it appears that the only way to update your roster would be to DL the rosters that are on 2k5. The PS2 has a limitation to making a "complete" roster set. Go back a couple of pages and you will find something on that.

If you still have the xbox version, I would buy a transfer device for the xbox and continue to play that version.

I used to have AR Max for the XBOX, but it ended up corrupting a bunch of my files - including my 2 year old profile. I got PO'd and sold it on Ebay. I just played a game of 2K on PS2 for the first time... it's a lot different. I'm used going for stiff arms with the white and black buttons and it feels slightly off. Maybe it's just me, but the XBOX version felt tighter.

I started off by playing 2k5 on the ps2, and then moved to xbox so i could take advantage of puja21's roster updates and finn's editor. and yes, it does play differently on the xbox. running the ball is next to impossible on ps2 w/o messing around with the ratings. i haven't touched anything on the xbox default difficulty settings and the running game is a lot more effective, plus my comp % went up 5-6% which makes me happy being the stat junkie that I am! the other thing i noticed is that the CPU offense is more effective. plus the CPU defense feels a like it's a little trickier to me. but yeah, minus all that typing I am, ultimately agreeing with you.
