Re: Error when opening franchise file with Finn's Editor...

get the other 2007 franchise by looking 1 or 2 threads beneath yours.. this thread title:
JSOU'S Official 2007-2008 NFL Rosters and Settings w/ a franchise file.

dan's file here:
dan77733's EDITED "roster2K7" and "franchise2K7" files

^both have roster files in their threads too

also make sure and do this:
"Try starting a franchise in the game from scratch & see if you can open that in the Editor."

i havent a clue about transferring things from 360... but if you have an Xport i would suggest reading the thread about transfering files from the XPort

FYI: that is 2 or 3 threads beneath this one currently

OK, I tried FRANCHISE files created by both the other people you suggested with the same 01/01/1900 error. I have not attempted to start my own franchise and edit it as of yet, be patient with me.

Re: Error when opening franchise file with Finn's Editor...

OK, I finally got around to trying to open a franchise file I created with Finn's editor. I started a new franchise on my Xbox 1.

Simulated the preseason, then proceeded to the regular season. Then I saved the frachise to a memory card.

I hooked the memory card up to the Xport and transfered file 53450030 to my desktop. Inside this folder are four files "TitleMeta.xbx", "TitleImage.xbx", "SaveImage.xbx" and "256B40374FD6".

I then zipped the main folder 53450030 to 53450030.zip.

I opened Finn's editor and attempted to open this file. When I did I received this message.

I thought this was a step in the right direction, at least it was something I had not seen before.

So I clicked "OK". Right after doing so this box popped up.

DAMMIT!!! Right back to square one!!!

The first image that says "repaired 1 headless player" is due to the missing head for OT Carlos Joseph but this is only in the default roster. Did you start a franchise using the default roster? If so, im guessing that it's Finn's editor or has something to do with the transferring process on 360.

You zipped the wrong file, you need to zip "256...fd6" folder and then open that in Finn's editor. Once you edit the file, save it and you need to unzip over-writing the folders. Then drag the updated "256...fd6" folder into the xport (partition 3 into the 53450030 folder). I always delete the old folder first before I drag it across (256...fd6) on your harddrive as it is a duplicate file, it overwrites the old one but erases all the other saves in there as well.
