1956-1980 Roster file coming...

I am putting the finishing touches on my 1956-1980 roster file which is suitable for season play.

The teams in the roster file will be:

NFC

East: 1977 Cowboys, 1956 Giants, 1972 Redskins, 1960 Eagles
North: 1962 Packers, 1969 Vikings, 1970 Lions, 1965 Bears
South: 1979 Bucs, 1979 Saints, 1980 Falcons, Panthers (generic players)
West: 1979 Seahawks, 1975 Cards, 1970 49ers, 1967 Rams

AFC

East: 1978 Patriots, 1973 Bills, 1968 Jets, 1972 Dolphins
North: 1965 Browns, 1978 Steelers, 1975 Bengals, Ravens (generic players)
South: 1958 Colts, 1979 Oilers, Jaguars and Texans (generic players)
West: 1963 Chargers, 1977 Broncos, 1976 Raider, 1969 Chiefs

I also set the actual Run/Pass ratio for each team as occured in real life so you will hopefully see alot more rushing attempts for most of the teams. In addition, I set the oldtime uniforms and assigned what I thought were appropriate playbooks for each squad.

I am just waiting on some info on how to set the schedule for the year, so the expansion teams only play 3 times or so, and only against each other.

I know this is probably not going to be very popular, as it has some real old time teams in it, but for those of you who go waaaay back like myself, I thought you'd get a kick out of it. Enjoy!

PS: teams selected are not meant to reflect "best of the best"...just some personal favorites not being used elsewhere.

Also, did you look at JROD's nfl 2k5 formations at all? I think he was on to something. He lists the playbooks and how many runs are in each formation. If you set up your numbers to either match up with formations with runs or formations without (if you want to pass more) I think you'll notice some difference. Key word being some.

I finally scored a .99 cent backup copy of 2K5 in mint condition,too.

Almost there...had a problem with an imported team but I sent the roster set to Finn to see if he could work his magic.

The last roster file I did for season play was 1980-2007...there are no dupe teams in the file I am going to post which is a 1956-1980 season file. However, since these teams are also part of my overall historic set, there are differences in player ratings since I had to change ratings for better simmed season play. For the individual historic teams you play in exhibition mode, they play better with inflated offensive ratings and lowered DB ratings.

thanks a lot...looking forward to this!! i traded in my madden and have no plans to purchase it ever again since everyone here keeps 2k5 alive...appreciate your work on those classic rosters (which i personally enjoy more than the current teams).
