Tips using NFLsettings

When I 1st tried to play with your NFLSettings with the new rosters, I found it very hard , got beat and was very frustrated . However , after a while i tried it again , I was very curious , how the settings could be just right for Jsou , after all I am the best playa of this game.
So, I went back and reset the settings, to jsous and heres what I found ,
The settings are just right for a computer vs human in franchise . The only problem is an ocational fumble by the running back . Heres a few tips for success using the settings
1. Mix up plays and formations
2. running backs should follow the blocker
3. try to throw to the open reciever
4. use audiables to change routes
5. dont get discouraged there are 4 quarters of play you are not going to win the game in the 1st quarter.
6. try diiferent defenses formations to cover , if 2 man doesnt work , go with zone .
7. if the game plan is set to balance , then you need to keep your offense to 50 % pass 50 % run .

Great Post, That's exactly what we enjoy about our rosters. Sounds like the NFL to me. Our rosters and settings are difficult, but we enjoy a battle, and losing always keeps the game fun as well as you thinking about what changes need to be made week to week. thanks for the post

I have been getting a ton of pm's about the qb speed and agility. We set it this way to detour us from taking off with the qb. As most of you know its to easy to just drop back and take off running. Our ratings make it a little harder to get yards when running with the qb. Most tweaks are geared towards game play, we do emphasize ratings based on combine and other factors but the game play is the most important obviuosly.

i have thought about doing this too:

eg start w/ the combine rating; & then lower the fastest QB to the highest acceptable/desirable SPD level for gameplay... & then lower all other QBs by the same amount. that way QBs are still accurate relative to one another, but also it's not easy to take off & pick up that first down

Will LOVE to see those rosters for PS3 as well as the NFLsettings, great addon, on more reason to keep madden away

We had to, having 8 guys play one season creates a little chippyness (not a word) when losing. We also get together when poss to play our games and watch each other play our league games. So if a guy is being a cheapa$# like we like to say we wont stop talking crap, so it pretty much gets in your head to not scramble more than a couple times a game, max. Now rolling out, if you're not doing this your still learning this game we call 2k.
