The best you can do is Shantee ORR.While you don't hear that 'G' sound you don't notice that much when spoken.

I'm not a big fan of soundalikes but i use some of these.

the identical ones of course are in there:
Cassel/Kassel
Koch/Cook
Kolb/Cobb
Gould/Gold

Ones w/ completely different vowel sounds or lead consonants are not in there:

^these sound much worse than jersey #'s IMO

I'd have to say that some 'soundalikes' are so noticeably different that it's certainly worse than hearing a jersey#.

Rattay/Forte - For some reason it actually does sound like Forte. lol Maybe its just my mind playing tricks. But if your not paying attention it sounds good.



Chester/Hester - No dice. The C is too clearly pronounced.
