that's what i do
in some cases i matched the max & min for an attribute across the board & filled in the appropriate percentage ranges in between... eg if there were 20 FS in the default roster w/ TKL between 50 & 60 then there would be 20 in the roster update too
obviously, i didn't do this for every situation since many attributes require changes from the game's original design/framework & many minimums in the default roster were so low that the players didn't play well on the field... but the ranges themselves are pretty accurate
